A lot of terrible things can happen in life. Sometimes it feels deserved, and most of the time it doesn’t. Honestly though, if what I’ve gone through since moving to LA is the worst of it for now, I should consider myself lucky (I haven’t blogged about most of it, but some pretty dreadful things happened, one right after the other).
I consider myself lucky because, even though I’ve been through all these terrible things, I’ve also been through some pretty amazing ones. I’ve been shown just how many friends I have, and just how much they and my family care about me. Everyone around me has been so caring, understanding and patient with me, and have on so many occasions gone out of their way just to show it (thank you guys ♡ ). I don’t know how Mike was able to put up with both my stress and his own throughout all of this, but he did and I am very thankful for it.
And truly, more good has come out of my move to LA so far than bad. Sometimes I can’t even believe all the amazing opportunities I’ve gotten, experiences I’ve had, and people I’ve gotten to know - often it seems almost too good to be true! But it has all been real, and again I am very grateful for it all.
So now that I’ve gotten that all out in the open, on to blogging again! I’ve missed documenting and sharing my life and projects so much, I hope I won’t be forced to leave it for so long ever again. ♡
A little over a week ago I had the lovely opportunity to model my friend Miss Alphabet's runway show at Kawaiiland! Needless to say I was thrilled to be wearing some of her colorful pieces. ♡ The three of us on the left in the photo above (taken by Vin Khommarath) are all wearing her designs~
The best part about the day for me was hanging out with friends and meeting new people - I’m actually terrified of runway walking and only force myself to do it in hopes that I’ll gain more confidence one day. :s
Since there are going to be so many photos I’ll leave the text to a minimum for the rest of the post. :]
Above are Mandie and Michelle at the Geeky Glamorous booth, and you can see some Chubby Bunny items too (photo by Yume Ninja for Defective Geeks)! The first photo of this post (by Krys Villaster) was taken of Yume, Mandie and I at the same booth~
Photo above stolen from Dania, haha~
Eclectic Cutie and I at the Dooodolls booth and all their cute plushies!
And now on to the runway!
Here’s Miss Alphabet herself in a super cute Beach Barbie dress! (photo: Vin Khommarath)
Risa was so good at working the runway, and so cheerful too!~
Photos of me below are by Ogeeku, Shannon Cottrell, and Vin Khommarath, in that order. I was so relieved I didn’t do anything embarrassingly wrong and made it through! :p
I was so happy to know a couple other girls modeling as well. Below is super cutie Bebe modeling for Pretty Star Clothing (photo: Vin Khommarath), and the photo below by Shannon Cottrell is of one of my favorite Pretty Star Clothing pieces of the show!
And here’s one last photo from after the show of Messy Pink and I, taken by Ogeeku~
I apologize if this post feels kind of sporadic - there was just so much to cover and I think I might be a little rusty at blogging (but I will fix that! haha~). This was my first big event in a long time, and I was so happy to be back hanging out with all of my friends again. ♡
I’m also super excited to be back online, and really look forward to posting regularly again. Thank you guys for sticking with me through the break! ♡ ♡
You were absolutely lovely on the runway! Thanks once again! <3
